I don't know whether Cantonese and Hokkien are classified under languages.. cause in most places, they're considered a dialect. But Cantonese is debatable since it has its own writing style which is rather different from Mandarin. So I guess I only speak 3 languages and 2 dialects if Cantonese is considered a dialect. haha
As far as I understand, Hokkien is a dialect of Min Nan, and Cantonese of Yue Hai, both of which aren't Mandarin. I believe Hokkien, Cantonese, and Mandarin are three different languages, but that's my opinion. I know the Chinese government would disagree
