i dunno if anyone got this news. skip beat gonna make into live action aka drama and the cast i heard, still not confirm yet but there's a rumors that it will be Ariel (Its started with a kiss) and Jerry Yan (meteor garden)

Ariel gonna played Kyouko and Jerry gonna played Ren..

okay when i heard about the cast i just go NOOOO.. why Jerry? for me he's not that good, yes he's got looks but talent i dun think so.. i mean come on this is Ren we talking about. Ren which is so talented compared to Jerry is like earth and universe. i wish the director will pick someone who can portray Ren as what he is. i dun think that Jerry can portray Ren as good as i want him to be. im afraid that he will ruin Ren character.

i know in meteor garden he's okay but not successfully portraying Tsukasa. it just i love Ren so much to see some actor like Jerry to portray him. im not only the one saying that Jerry is bad. lots of people say he's not a good actor. he doesn't show much expression in all his drama. if you see back meteor garden you will knoe what im talking about.

but if he's still gonna casting then im begging him to work harder in his expression. well i hope this live action turned out good. but comparing Taiwan and Japanese Drama i prefer Japanese for the high quality one.

OMG!!  So cool!! I can't wait... hopefully it happens! I really want to see it. Even though  i rather Japanese ... it will be okay

WHY?!?!

I didn't even bother watching Meteor Garden. I waited for the Japanese version of Hana Yori Dango and am happy that I did.
Japan would soon have a live-action drama version of Skip Beat. All I need to do now is just wait, just like Hana Yori Dango.  rft3:

Ariel? As in Arial Lin who played the dumb girl from It Started With a Kiss? Aaack I don't really like her. There are so many others who are suitable for the role of Kyouko. At least choose someone prettier and younger.. :/ And I don't think Jerry suits the role of Ren. Ahh it's going to be all wrong. I hope the Japanese are going to make a Skip Beat live action too. I think it would be much better than the taiwanese ones... Like Hana Kimi and Hana Yori Dango for instance. I didn't continue the Taiwanese versions of Hana Kimi and Meteor Garden (Hanadan).

I've heard about this and I'm not too impressed with the cast.
I definitely didn't picture Ariel Lin as Kyouko, not that I don't like her. I do. I think she's a good actress and can be very pretty, but I just don't see her as Kyouko.
If I had to pick a Taiwanese actress to play Kyouko, I was thinking more along the lines of Rainie Yang or maybe even Angela Zhang.

As for Jerry Yan as Ren, I just can't see it happening. He was alright in Meteor Garden playing the bad boy, but as Ren? I don't even know which Taiwanese actor I would pick for the role of Ren...no one pops into mind. Ren is just so awesome. As much as I love Mike He, I don't see him as a Ren. Maybe Ethan Ruan?

Who knows, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised with how the Skip Beat Taiwanese dram will turn out.
Hopefully a Japanese version and maybe even a Korean version will pop out soon.
If a Korean version comes out, I want the girl who plays Jan Di in Boys Before Flowers to play Kyouko.

I'm not a great fan of taiwanese adaptations. I think it was Hana Kimi that first had a taiwanese live action version... I didn't like it very much. I did love the japanese Hana Kimi, though. So I'll just wait for the japanese Live Action if they make one.  :pompoms:

Anyway, I've heard that a lot of dramas that the Taiwanese makes is usually disappointing but I do know a few who like their adaptions. I wanna watch this anyway, since I've never watched dramas or live actions. o: Skip Beat might be my first one. Or Detective Conan but we aren't going there. XD

I love Jerry and all but he can't pull of Ren. He doesn't have that type of aura about him. And no offense but ht'es not a very good actor in my opinion...from what I've seen.  :hanghead:

And there's no way in heck that Ariel can pull of Kyouko. Kyouko is too complex of a character for Ariel to act as...she's always playing the slightly ditsy ordinary (annoying sometimes) nice girl. How is she going to act as Kyouko when she gets pissed off and is all evil looking? Not going to work I tell you...Thus, I am not going to watch this drama nor am I ever going to watch it.

Man, the casting does not appeal to me already. I wonder when there will be a Japanese version.. :hotcakesp:
